SMS Sender ID Registration/Request
Register your alphanumeric sender ID here
From the 1st July 2026, all businesses sending SMS to Australian recipients from an alphanumeric sender ID (a word origin) will need to have registered their sender IDs in a national sender identification register with the ACMA. This is part of the ACMA's broader efforts to prevent spoofing and scam activity.
An alphanumeric sender ID is a word that the SMS messages appear to come from. eg 'AMAZON' or 'Kates Salon'

THE PROCESS

Step 1
Fill out the form below for each Sender ID you want to register.
It is best if you make the contact info the authorised person who has access to your company's ABN records. The ACMA Assist portal requires the email address associated with your ABN to match up to the company details we send them.
Step 2
We will submit the sender ID to the ACMA and they will send you an email.
Click on the link they send you in the email to go to the ACMA Assist portal.
There you will be required to use your MyGov (MyID) to get in to the portal.
Please allow some time to do this - we've heard back from other clients that this is not always an easy process unfortunately.
Step 3
Once you are in to the ACMA Assist portal (Sender ID section) you can approve the sender ID/s we set up for you. Once you've approved them, there is a 24 hour turnaround for the carriers to receive the update from the ACMA and then the sender ID is ready to use.
