Need Help with the ACMA Assist Portal?
Here's some pro tips to finalise your ACMA Sender ID Registration.
IMPORTANT
Only do this finalisation process on a computer. It does not work if you try it on a phone.
When you reach the ACMA page, choose the “Log in with Digital ID” option only.
The “Log in with email” option does not work.

Have your MYID app open on your phone. You will need this to get access to the portal.
If you cant get access the ACMA portal with your email
If the email address you gave us when you requested the sender ID is not the same as the email address in your MYID app, they may not let you in to the portal.
Go to your MYID app. Click on the ‘My Identity’ page and you’ll see your MYID email address.
Send that to us here (even if it is a personal email address like Hotmail or Gmail etc - that's normal)
We will update the ACMA application and you’ll get a new email.
Follow the link again and this time it should let you in.
Once you get past the log in stage
Once you are in to the ACMA portal, they will ask you to confirm your ABN and business name.
If it is correct, click YES and press NEXT.
ABN Email Address - this is where lots of clients have issues

You will get to a page with 2 options – it asks about about the email address associated with your ABN
The options are:
Option 1 – I have access to an email listed on the Australian Business Register (ABR)
-
Enter the email address associated with your ABN and they’ll send a code to that email.
-
If it turns out that’s not the email connected to your ABN, they’ll tell you.
-
You can try again multiple times.
-
-
If you cant get it right, you need to call the Australian Business register on 13 92 26 and update the email address for your ABN
-
Then go through this process again starting by clicking on the original link in the ACMA’s email.
Option 2 – I am not authorised on the ABR
-
They wont let you past this point if you choose this option.
-
Find someone at your business that does have access, get them to do it or to stand beside you or on the phone whilst you are finalising the process.
-
The ACMA will send them the email. Get them to give you the code, enter the code and proceed to the final step.
-
Or call the ABR on 13 92 26 and get the email address updated to yours (if you are authorised) and try the process again from the start.
Once you get to the Sender ID section
You're almost there.
They will ask you to confirm some business details.
You must agree to receive emails and reports etc and click NEXT.

Final Step – Can be confusing
Look for the sender ID that we submitted for you. It will say the the status is “pending” next to it.
Tick the box to the left of the sender ID/s.
Then click that big long teal coloured button above that says “Confirm registration of Sender application”
Many clients miss this final step because it is not obvious. See screenshot below:

Once you have approved the sender ID in the ACMA portal, the sender ID is good to go 24 hours later. (it will still work without waiting 24 hours only up until July 1st 2026)
